Dear All,
Hope everything is doing well and also had a fantastic Christmas day as well.
Oh well, I was at work and since Tokyo was the only office in business, I got quite a few items to work on from colleagues! Nice pressie indeed.
Julian,
Pleasure is mine. It was very nice to meet you in person finally. Apologies that I had to rush and you are right... NTU was relatively far away from the centre. Overall, my visit this time was very good. I had meetings with all the three target universities and also met up with some friends from university as well.
So, year 2008 is nearly coming to an end. Does everyone had your new year's resolution in your mind? I am sure everyone will have a very exciting new year because you will be joining the firm! I cannot wait to welcome you all here. Me? I now have additional challenges, which could be quite something but I am enjoying being busy for some reason.
Anyway, have a fantastic year ahead and I shall be speaking to all of you in January 2009!
Y

I have several resolutions, one of them is to get involved in some kind of regular sport, as I haven't done any in Tokyo yet. I also want to learn to cook more than just curry... and basically, to not be lazy (sounds like I could learn from you, Yukiko: you have a very positive attitude).
ReplyDeleteActually, I've been working quite hard this month too, finishing off a small-ish software project for my current job.
So Julian asked, how did I spend my Xmas? Well, actually it was quite good. I had my first ever Japanese-style Christmas Day (spent with girlfriend, not family). I cooked a turkey and some side-dishes, which very surprisingly turned out to be "chou oishii". We also bought a very nice cake and a crate full of wine, and watched a load of DVDs, the best being Casino Royale. We even installed a little plastic christmas tree. It couldn't have been much better, really.
Have a Happy New Year, everyone!
